The Denton Program

The Denton Program

Our Mission of Love humanitarian cargo delivery is made possible by the Denton Cargo Program.

The Denton Amendment, Title 10 U.S.C. Section 402, states "the Secretary of Defense may transport to any country, without charge, supplies which have been furnished by a non-governmental source and which are intended for humanitarian assistance. Such supplies may be transported only on a space available basis."

Cargo is moved through the Defense Transportation System on a space-available basis by air, surface, sea or an inter-modal combination thereof. The cargo is defined as opportune by the DTS regulations. Any U.S. military organization or coalition partner can participate. Primary transportation has been provided by Air Mobility Command channel missions.

The Mission of Love has had over 60 Denton airlifts and is the largest user of the Denton Program in the United States. Aid has been sent by our Mission of Love to Afghanistan, Bahamas, Belize, Bosnia, Columbia, Croatia, Dominican Republic, Ethiopia, Guatemala, Haiti, Honduras, India, Japan, Kenya, Mexico, Nepal, Peru, Puerto Rico, Sri Lanka, Tibet, and Pine Ridge Native American Indian Reservation, S.D.

Here is our Mission of LOVE C5 Cargo plane loaded with 85,000 pounds of food, educational, medical and building supplies for our friends in Guatemala. Our Mission of LOVE building team arrived March 21 to continue building WAY-bi (HOUSE of DREAMS) for the children who are dying of cancer.

Kathy;

I’m the big bald guy you see assisting the 76 APS with the Denton Group, and the Project Manager for Eagle Aviation Services, and Technologies (EAST), O&M, LLC. The EAST O&M, LLC Traffic Management team provide aircraft loading, aircraft pallet build-up, inspection of cargo prior to upload, and cargo manifesting assistance to 76 APS personnel. Our carpenters are building the shoring kit for the Ford Carpenter Bus to be safely loaded onto the aircraft for the Mission of Love to Guatemala on February 2, 2013. My team and I are very proud to support Mission of Love as well as our 76 APS personnel! Without the assistance of the EAST O&M, LLC team, MSgt Kevin Massie would have a difficult time getting these missions off the ground. We are looking forward to providing our support to many more missions of love. Just thought you should know who else is assisting you with these missions.
Thank you.
