Letters of Gratitude to the Mission of Love

"We here at UAW Local 2164, Bowling Green Kentucky, would like to send our

appreciation and many thanks to you, Kathy, and Mission of Love. The 53’ trailer that arrived on December 28, 2021 was filled with many necessities, bottled water, canned goods, clothing

etc. to help our members and our community that was devastated by the December 11th tornados."

Brian E. Ferrett,

President UAW Local 2164

"Thank you very much, Kathleen Price, Mission of Love, Lutz Farms and all the volunteers who joined their hearts by linking their hands to pack the Indigenous Corn.

This is a great blessing for many Guatemalan Maya brothers and sisters.  Many elderly families and children are in a state of malnutrition due to the pandemic.

Maya Communities have not received any help whatsoever. They do not have electricity, water, specifically basic services, which is an unfortunate and shameful reality in my country.

Thank you for your humanitarian hearts especially the humanitarian work for more than 25 years in Guatemala of Kathleen Price, an extraordinary Angel for many Maya families in Guatemala and many parts of the world.

With gratitude to all,"

Astrid de García

"Joy and miracles are seen in the eyes of the children and ladies that the program serves, thank you of heart the miracles of love that has to do with my people in Tecpan."

Serapio Ordonex Tiniguar
Mayor of Tecpan, Guatemala

"I thank God for meeting people as good as you.

On behalf of the blind of the Chirijuyu village, the men, women and children of the different neighborhoods and communities in the municipality of Tecpan, Guatemala I deeply appreciate the assistance provided by Mission of Love."

Paula Lopez

"The motto of Mission of Love: You
are not here to save the world, but to take the hand that reaches out for you.

Thank you. You made a difference."

Ashley Dixon

"In the short time they were here with me, they altered the course of my destiny and changed how I view the world. The Mission of Love is a group of life changers at the most basic sense of the words. The idea that someone may come to help and their consideration was just enough to spark the hope that it would happen. This is to thank Kathleen Price and her “priceless” spirit, “can do” attitude and her volunteers. The Mission of Love restored faith, hope, strength and courage."

Sandra Byrd

"We are very thankful and appreciate the help and assistance you have given to us in continuing the construction of our Community House at Kiza Park. With all of the plumbing and electrical work, we are now in the modern times! No more outhouse and no more hauling water!"

Debra White Plume

"In the last five years the Mission of Love and their stalwait friend Rusty Puckett have provided us with a Roots and Shoots office, tools and equipment, and now they've helped us finish the greenhouse and farmers market building, thus fulfilling dreams of ours."

Jason Schock and Patricia Hammond

"It is with true generosity and organization and people working together that good things happen, we all know that we need good things to happen in this land of 85% unemployment, inadequate housing and medical care, high youth suicide rates, high diabetes sickness, etc.

We wish to say "Wopila" (thank you)."

Alex White Plum

"I would like to express not only my appreciation, but the appreciation of the many Moore, Oklahoma tornado victims. You came from far away to share your love and concern and the warmth of your beautiful quilts.

Because of your organizations love for others, I feel God planted a seed in this family's life that they will always remember."

Moore City Hall

"Thank you for your love and support. The quilts will replace the ones we lost from our parents, grandparents and great grandparents. They will help us fill the void in our homes and in our hearts."

Danni Dunn-Legg

"Thanks again for your help and for your efforts to bring happiness and comfort to people who need it so badly right now."

Arianna Pickard

"All last week Kathy Price and Mission of Love were in Guatemala, finding homeless children and giving them a home, visiting the orphanage, delivering food to remote villages who are starving, and the medical team gave the miracle of cleft lip and palate surgeries. We are so proud to be supporting the efforts of this truly amazing organization, led by Kathy who is literally a miracle worker. She and her merry band of volunteers load up a military cargo plane, and fly through the air like ten thousand magic reindeer, to help the poorest of the poor with compassion and dignity. If you ever want to have a life-changing experience, volunteer on one of their trips!"

Luana and Paul Rubin

"Living this experience was unbelievable for my family and I. We had the opportunity to live moments of nervousness, sadness and joy."

Edwin Marroquin

"When trying to describe life-giving missions like these words fail to explain what the soul goes through. We started by evaluating 27 beautiful human beings that generously gave us the opportunity to transform their faces. This also allowed us to transform not only their parents’ lives and spirits, but ours as well; now I can understand how the pain of the living God redeems souls."

Dr. Edgar Moran

I am really blessed to be able to be next to all the great people of Mission of love because without them it would be impossible to help and give all the love that was given this week, they make all these dreams come true.

Andres Moran

"Of all my experiences in the world of medicine and nursing, the most gratifying and exhilarating time of my life happened recently when I volunteered for a week at the Hospital Metropolitano in Guatemala."

Amy Bush

"It was really sad when we had to leave because of the compassion, kindness, and love we felt with these kindred people, we were not just workers anymore, we became family."

Karen A Studer

"My brother and I were abandoned by our family as small children. All of our lives we have lived in orphanages. For the last several years we have lived in Casa Guatemala . It is an orphanage for mistreated children who have been abandoned by their families. God has provided me the opportunity to meet many good hearted people; people who have left their countries to help the forgotten, the sick, the mistreated, the abandoned, and those with physical defects.

Thank you God, thank you Mission of Love for allowing me to be part of this family. I believe that there are no words to describe how thankful I feel for all that you have done in my country."

Axel Giovani Satuye Mena

"Thank you for sharing your time and space, because you created very special smiles in every one of the children, they felt very important thanks to your very opportune details. Since the moment the bus arrived for their transfer, the welcoming you gave them, the piñatas, the gifts given them to every one of them, accompanying them on their way back, setting up the Christmas ornaments, all of these were very special moments that without a doubt they will never forget."

Hna. Dora Alicia Garcia Gutierrez

Kathy, you and your organization, The Mission of Love, can never know how much this means to my brother and his wife, Jolaine, who are in Haiti and have orphanages, and all of the other people that these goods will help.

Your outpouring of Love is shown by what you have been able to accomplish (although I know that this is not why you do what you do) and all the people that you are able to help. May God bless you the same way that you have blessed others. We could never say how much we love and appreciate what you have done for the Haitians. "

Zach Coblentz

"On this thanksgiving season I just wanted to take time to let you know how much I appreciate you. I never really told you how you were able to help me through the whole Haiti earthquake and even since then.  "

Zach Coblentz

"It has been such an inspiration since you came. Miracles do come true when you are around. All the donations you have brought is Christmas day to my family and I, may God bless you and all the donors who helped us with all our everyday needs and essentials. This winter my family and I won’t freeze."

Harry Yazzie Jr. and Family

"There is NO word to describe how appreciative we are to the Mission of Love Foundation in building homes in our Pine Ridge Reservation and elsewhere."

Joe American Horse

"My heart is so overwhelmed with JOY and l owe all this to Kathy Price and the Mission of Love.

My family and I won't freeze this winter - because Kathy Price made this all happen. I want to thank her, all of the Mission of Love workers and all the local people who helped me.

Thank you Kathy, for not only getting me a home, but giving back my self-esteem. I guarantee you that you will see me along with Kathy Price and the Mission of Love helping other families."

Harry Yazzie Jr.

"Thank you for the beautiful quilts I received today. My daughter loves hers and I am blessed that you made me take one as well. This tornado has been hard for me, since I am not used to being on the receiving end, I am used to being a giver, so it has been hard for me to accept things. But I am blessed by the love we have been shown during this time.

NaTasha Pendleton

"My humble thanks to all of you who rushed to send your comfort quilts for the people of Moore, Oklahoma. Your love and caring is an amazing gift of selfless generosity for these families who have lost so much."

Luana Rubin

"I really believe that you were sent into my life and others to show us the true meaning of love and help. you made me realize that people do care about each other and that thru belief and hard work we can help each other. you are a blessing as i said an angel in disguise who asks for nothing but gives everything. thank you mission of love for helping me get one step closer to my dream to bulid a home for a family."

"There were times that we couldn’t hold back the tears but there are many more occasions for smiles, laughter and joy. We all worked hard and we were always tired at the end of each day. To meet those who have little or NOTHING and to see their appreciation and feel their love is one of the best experiences we could ever have."

Laurie Beaupre

"I think every human being realizes at some point in life that one of their purposes in life is to serve others. To serve and help the people in need. Some people take their entire life to figure this out and others catch the idea pretty young in their lives. Personally, I have been blessed by meeting Mission of Love which is led by Kathy Price and conformed by an extraordinary group of volunteers. They together have taught me in only one year this valuable lesson of life."

Edwin

"The physical work is hard, very hard, and you pay the price in aches and pains. Why would any American in their right mind do such a thing? The answer to that question is simple. We, all of us, returned to our homes as better people than we were when we left."

Bob Price

"In my name, Doctor Arturo Cazali, Pediatrician and on behalf of all medical and paramedical staff of Metropolitan Hospital in Guatemala, we would like to extend our appreciation for the valuable and selfless assistance given to
Guatemalan children and young people with congenital defects aesthetic problems of the type Labis cleft palate.

It was an honor for the Metropolitan Hospital to provide the infrastructure facilities."

Dr. Arturo Cazali

"We have just finished unloading the last of two containers that Mission of Love sent filled with love for the Mayan people in need of Guatemala. It was a long and bureaucratic process to have the two containers brought to Tecpan, but finally today the miracle occurred. A group of over 40 community volunteers (young and elder) joined hands to unload the “Love Containers”.

Words aren’t enough to express our people’s gratitude for all the love received.

THANK YOU MISSION OF LOVE !!!"

Eternal gratitude, Edwin

"I am in the process of getting my prosthetic legs and very anxious and happy ~ my prayers have been answered, thanks to Kathy and the Mission of Love. Know that without these things happening this week, I do not know where I would be today. I just want to take this time to really, really thank the Great Spirit and Kathy Price and the Mission of Love for everything that they have done for my family and me."

Kevin Poor Bear

"As I offer my Wopila-thanks, these thoughts cross my mind. For you, Kathleen, and the all the volunteers who come on your Mission of Love, expressing the wholeness of Tunkasila, and his desire for mankind's help to one another with unconditional service. Truly God-Tunkasila, holds your hand as you journey through life, hand in hand. The purity of your work is the way God,Tunkasila intended all mankind to do from the very beginning of Creation, and I am a recipient of this wonderful work that has been accomplished in such a short time."

Richard Broken Nose

"From this tragedy happened to our country where Hurricane Mitch destroyed much of our infrastructure and where thousands of our compatriots, the poorest and most needy in our Honduras, the presence of aid from Mission of Love has been invaluable, help is has remained constant for these thousands of Hondurans who require a helping hand and found Mission of Love an open heart and solidarity with the needs of the most disadvantaged.

Thanks Kathy for the help that since 1998 we have been receiving, gives us much hope and reafirms our view that the world and especially the United States of America, there are many friends of our country."

Julio Antonio Galdámez

"Mission of Love was here on the REZ doing touch ups on the Lakota Circle Village School, so when the fire happened I called Kathy and she and the Mission of Love volunteers came right out to see us.

Kathy left a few days later and started working immediately on our house plans and began gathering things to replace what we had lost. I will always be so thankful for all the help and hard work that they put into making this possible for our family."

Mary Fast Wolf

"I had been praying for God to show me where He wanted me to serve him. Out of the blue one day last spring I received a message from Kathy Price inviting me to come along on a trip to Guatemala. I thought, OK here is my answer!"

Becky Spratt

"Before departing, I ventured to Douglas's in hopes of seeing his newborn daughter. When he placed the bundled infant in my arms, it was a confirmation of what Mission of Love is all about, the children. She, and many others will benefit from the addition of the new medical/dental clinic, the ambulance, the school bus, the corn, and whatever else MOL has, and can provide or do for the Mayan community in Tecpan to enrich their lives. They have surely enriched and touched mine."

Sharon M. Borror

"By the end of the week there was a visible shift in the community, and the smiles and hugs were infectious. We topped off the week with a fiesta at the farm. Our expectations were more than met when over 300 people showed up to celebrate."

Susan Boone

"Of all the valuable things from this experience is the fact of finding people like Mission of Love volunteers because they show the best of the Human Being which is the ability to give love, solidarity and above all hope for the poor, and realize that giving your best effort and work for others gives you in return much more and above all peace and hope because you know there are people that make this planet have hope in finding the light of wishing to be better."

Claudia Moran

"It was a lot of really extrenuous work, but really gratifying. In the end it was pretty amazing to see all that we accomplished in such a short amount of time. Take my word for it… If you get the chance to go and do something like that, do it! You won’t regret it."

Fred Housel

"We came from the land of plenty, the United States of America, where we have much; now we are witnessing and touching those who have none."
